St. John 6; 53. " Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood you have no life in you*************************
Many things that Jesus spoke were only to His many membered body. Only His sheep hear His voice.
When He begun to teach this scripture on the communion of His flesh many of the disciples left him that day and walked no more with Him, they said ,'this is a hard saying, who can hear it! (see St. John 6;66)
It is still the same today. And Jesus taught His disciples plainly that the communion was the eating of His flesh and drinking of His blood, not the written epistles of the apostles, not the Mosaic law, not the great revelations of John and Ezekial and not the awesome mysteries of the prophets…….none of these were the Word made flesh, the Bread of life! It is high time today that we get our mind cleared of all deception of traditions and come to know what our communion in Christ is all about!!! The Communion Bread which we partake of is a 'living ' bread, that a man may eat and not die……..it is not like the bread in the wilderness, the ones who ate the wilderness bread died; Jesus said that whoever eats this Bread shall never taste of death but has passed from death into life!!! At this Word many have turned back into traditional rituals because the eating of His flesh and the drinking of His blood was most offensive to their nature. St. John 6; 33……..' For the bread of God is He which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world ( ver. 51 ) ' I am the living Bread which came down from heaven, and the bread that I give is my flesh.
This Word-Flesh-Bread is not something we study and try to understand and debate about, it is a living activated power which conforms us to His death and makes us overcomers and sets us free in the liberty of His resurrection life as we 'eat of that one Bread . As we eat of that one Bread we become that one Bread, ' according to 1st Cor. 10; 17…….' for we being many are one bread, for we are all partaker of that one bread. I believe that it can correctly be said that 90% of the religious world does not believe that Jesus was the Bread of life which we can eat of and never die. They say He didn't really mean what He said!!
Yet every time Jesus taught that He was the living Bread send down from heaven He also taught that whosoever eats this bread shall live forever and never taste of death. This is one of the most debatable and misunderstood word ever taught by our loving saviour. Many in that day, said that it was a hard teaching and left Him and walked no more with Him. To eat of this Bread the many member Christ- body must be united and jointed to its ascended Head The 'body ' becomes one with the 'head' as the vine is to the branch and are nurtured from the same root, becoming one bread. This one bread was not a symbol or type, it is the Word made flesh , one bread You see this was not a symbol or type, it was the real living bread which came down from heaven…….It was His flesh HE gave…….Jesus the Word became flesh………It is not the written word He speaks of here, it is the living Word which was made flesh. This is the Bread we must partake of as joint-heirs with Him. It is this Word which was in the beginning , this creative Word by which all things were made, this Word which was before all things by which all things were created for and by Him, 'this' is the Word that became flesh , the living Bread which came down from heaven to give life to the world…….it is of 'this' Bread that Jesus spoke, ' unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man you have no life in you.
No one can eat of this Bread until he has been made a joint-heir-partaker with Him. Jesus said that he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in Him. There has to be a union with Christ as one becomes bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh.
When Jesus spoke of the eating of His flesh, He was speaking of eating of the eternal , creative Word which went out from the mouth of Almighty God as a sound; ' Let there be light and there was light! How great was that awesome light which spring forth from the sheer power of The Word! And then we read ; All things were created for Him and by Him……'Him', The Word made flesh! The flesh we are to eat of is a Word-flesh, a creative, eternal , power of all powers, Word of God Almighty! It is a 'living' Word that we are to eat of, a Word that has overcome death, hell and the grave . And we read; Except you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you. Mankind has subsided within the parallels and prototypes of this awesome communion with Christ and many have never tasted of His supper. They have believed the theories of man and played the game of a soda cracker and grape juice and missed the great supper of the Lamb, with no knowledge of the passover of the Lamb. But the fact remains; 'We being many are one body who eats of that one bread and therefore we become that one bread as the branch to the Vine. Amen
