Homosexuals
Recently I watched a program on television's Night-line on ABC. The theme of the program was homosexuals. Most people think that this un-natural sex desire is caused by a genetic trait. I definitely know that homosexual sex is not a genetic trait it is a choice. I once read a article by a respected minister who said that if either parent messes around with the occult, their children can acquire one of the demons that bring about homosexuality. I believe this. Many of the people on this show believed that it is perfectly OK for homosexuals to legally marry. Many also said they think it is all right for them to adopt children if they are married.
However, imagine how you might feel if you grew up with two homosexuals as your parents. The other kids you pal around with have a very natural mom and dad, but you only have two men or two women as your parents. If you, yourself, were a perfectly normal heterosexual child, imagine how ashamed you would feel. Perhaps, your "parents" try to brainwash you into thinking, you too, are an unnatural queer, even when you know you are not? Personally I would hate to be placed into that kind of situation if I were a normal child. Do these stupid people who support and legally allow such an unnatural thing as two homosexuals adopting a natural child realize what they are doing? Why can't they put themselves in the child's place?
Some of these people on this program even said that since God is a God of love he would allow these things. How utterly stupid! We know that God accepts people on the grounds of obedience. We know that his commandments are for the good of all people. Look in the bible. See if Jesus ever gave a commandment that brings harm to any one. His commandments are words are words of love. When it comes to sex, God said through his prophets, apostles, and Jesus his Son, that fornication (sex without marriage), adultery (sex with some one who is not your husband or wife) is a sin. He also says that homosexuality is a sin, as well. Would a God of love call these things a sin if it wasn't a choice?
Most men and some women have a very strong sex drive from puberty on to old age. But we know that sex with human beings is not an instinct, it is a choice. All human beings choose to have sex no matter how strong the sex drive. We know this is true because men and women will often abstain from sex when the woman is going through her estrus cycle. They do not want a child at that time. However when a female beast comes into heat , "Katy bar the door", only the strongest male wins. We know by this that sex to a beast is not a choice it is a genetic instinct only. God does not call blue eyes a sin. Black hair is not a sin in the eyes of God either. If god called these things a sin he would not be a loving God. Would he? IN fact God has never called a genetic trait a sin. And he never will. It's something we have no control over. But he has called adultery, fornication and homosexuality a sin because it is a choice. Jesus even said that the man who even thinks about these things has committed them already. Fantasizing about them is what causes us to commit sin.
While watching this program on "Night-line" a gentleman who was middle aged gave the testimony that he had been a homosexual for most of his life until about 6 years ago. At that time he repented, and accepted Jesus as his lord. The man was at peace with himself and with God also. This should show us that God is a God of love and will accept any man who repents and obeys Him.
As was said before, sex to an animal is an instinct, to a human it is a choice. If it is performed by a married man and his wife it is not a sin. All other sex is a sin in the eyes of God. Homosexuality is a sin and should be repented of just like adultery and fornication. When a wife finds out that her husband is going out with another woman she calls him a dirty, rank sinner. But when they talk about homosexuals they say "oh that poor thing he can't help himself." Oh yes he can! His sex drive is no greater than the adulter. He is a sinner just like all others who transgress God's commandments. Human sex is not a genetic trait it is a choice.
