Pure Language Of God
Therefore, wait ye upon me saith the Lord until the day that I rise up to the prey. For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation even all my fierce anger. For all the earth will be devored with the fire of my jealously. For then will I turn to the peoples a pure language that they may call upon the Lord, to serve him with one mind. (Zephaniah 3 :8,9)

What does this mean? We know that God confused all the languages at the tower of Babylon. The Babylonian world system has tried to discredit God's way of salvation and has sought to obtain knowledge from mysterious sources in order to bring about their own way of salvation. Was God saying that he would restore one language back to the people? Yes, but more than that. In the above scripture he didn't say, I will restore one language back to the people instead, he said, I will turn to the peoples a pure language, Here in America we all speak one language, but is it pure? When God speaks there are no "perhaps' ,"it might happen's", or "maybe's" in his words. What He says IS. Some words we use in our everyday language have so many meanings in the minds of people who use them that it is very hard to really define anything as truth.

Jesus said "let your yes's be yes's and your no's be no's for whatsoever is more than this comes of evil." Have you ever seen a politician avoid answering a direct question? This will give you some idea of what Jesus meant. The pure language of God will be absolute or pure. There will never be a "perhaps" or "maybe" spoken in this language. We find many religious groups and organizations that manipulate words in such a way as to confuse and mislead people. It doesn't matter whether it is truth or not. There will be no twisted or emplied meanings in God's pure language. Certainly there will be no lies or half truths.
For instance take the common word" freedom". This should be an easy word to define shouldn't it? But this one word can mean many things to many people all over the world. To a person who loves a democratic form of government it means the principles found in the Bill of Rights. These are the constitutional amendments that guarantee the personal freedom to write, speak, assemble or worship as he pleases so long as these freedoms do not interfere with the rights of others. On the other hand, freedom to a dictator means an entirely different thing. To a dictator, freedom means his right to do as he pleases without regard to the rights of the people. A dictator believes the freedom which comes with power is more important than the people's personal freedom or their human rights. Pagan Babylonian religions always have dictators over them.

The morally wise Christian sees freedom as his right to speak, write, or any of the other freedoms given in our constitution. But he does not believe that books, movies, and magazines should contain things that degrade society. Many of the writers of the books that we refer to as "classical" literature wrote their books to bring about much needed reform in their time. Charles Dickens wrote of the plight of the very poor in England. Victor Hugo wrote of the immoral, cruel way that some people treat the handicapped. These books helped to pave the way for human rights for all people. Some modern writers still write good worthy books, however, many of our modern day writers have gone off into a form of "realism" that should be classified as unrealistic filth.

Most of us become pretty irate when we read about environmental pollution. The papers are full of stories about unreclaimed strip mines, acres of denuded forest land, and the greenhouse effect. Pornography and violence are having the same effect on society as environmental pollution has on the ecology. Selfish, greedy people are causing both plagues. You can clean up a polluted river or a polluted atmosphere but only God can clean up a polluted mind. Freedom should be strictly for the common good not for self gratification and greed. The devil will always try to use these hard won freedoms to bring about anarcy. Anarcy most always leads back into a dictatorship.

So you see that just this one word freedom can mean many things to many people. Consider all the other words in our language that can be twisted by people to cause confusion. Many people in today's world are deceived into thinking that there are no absolutes. We find many "absolutes" in our study of science. Our strict adherence to these absolutes have brought about our technological advancements. Our denial of any absolutes in our social responsibilities is a serious deterrent to our social and spiritual advancement. We have been led to believe that just about any kind of behavior is acceptable if it fits the situation, or if it feels good. This kind of confusion takes place in all languages. Yes's should be yes's and no's should be no's and freedom should be for the common good not to satisfy selfish greed.

We can take comfort in the fact that the word of almighty God is absolute because He is absolute and unchanging. What God says has to be truth because he is all powerful. We know that many people are highly impressed with the, so called, prophesies of Nostradmus. Yet there are more fulfilled prophesies in the book of Isaiah alone than in all the works of Nastrodumus. This man, whatever he may have been, certainly gives the Bible no competition when it come to fulfilled prophesies. Study the bible and study history you will find this out. God says study to show yourself approved rightly dividing the word of God.

According to the scriptures in Zephaniah, a great vision awaits those who overcome this world. God is going to give them a pure language that contains no lies or half truths. What God's people will say in that day is. His people will call on him with ONE mind. Because of his love they will speak even as God. Perhaps you still don't quite understand what a pure language will be like. I will try to explain by using an illustration of a language that we use every day. Mankind has adhered to truth in order to bring about his scientific technologies. For centuries men studied the forces of nature. He called it the study of natural science or "physics". He soon found that these forces always acted the same way under the same conditions. However he needed to quantitate these forces and the results of their actions. So he invented a special, absolute (pure) language to deal with the data he collected. This language was called mathmetics.

Because order exists, men learned long ago to count. In order to use these physical forces he had discovered, he learned to quantitate their values. From the ability to count, the language of mathemetics was born. If a mathematical sentence states that something is equal to something else, then it has to be truth, or it is not accepted into the language. There is no haggling or rationalizing, it is just not accepted because it is not true. This is why it is a pure language. Many students of algebra find themselves in big trouble on test day if their sentences are not true. As long as mathemetics deals with quantities of the natural forces that God created, it is absolute truth. However, we find that when dealing with quantities that certain individuals have arbitrarily chosen, mathematics sometimes only reflects the views of the people who choose the quantities. Studies such as political science and economics often use quantities to entice people into their way of thinking. People will sometimes use statistics that are misleading in order to influence others. When mathemetics deals with the quantities chosen by people and not physical forces put there by God, it is not always true. For this reason we have highly advanced technologies that deal with absolute physical forces yet, socially, men are blind leaders of the blind.

I hope you can you see why God's people will use a pure language. Our Technogology is far advanced over our social relationships with one another. I believe this is because of our inability to deal with each other in pure truth. The evil one, satan, makes sure that many will not come to the real truth, which is Jesus, and be saved.
